This isn’t a bog post as much as it is a brain dump. I’m sure I’m not the only person with hundreds of thoughts racing through their mind these days. I’m the kind of person who needs activity and movement, and being confined to one place is stifling. But, the most challenging part for me right now is deciding just how I feel about everything that’s happening. I’m filled with mixed feelings.
I want to know what’s going on, and I mean what’s really going on. I see what’s happening on the surface, but there’s always more going on underneath. That doesn’t mean it’s nefarious, just more than meets the eye. I’d settle for the truth, whatever that may be.
Transparency seems nonexistent within our governments and even our for-profit health and pharmaceutical organizations. And regarding health organizations, I mean at the corporate leadership level, not the people who go to work everyday and have to deal with both sick people and corporate bull shit. I simply don’t have a lot faith in any answers provided by those in charge of these organizations, governments included.
I wish we could rely on the various media outlets to at least provide honest reporting, with no dramatization or political bias. You know, just the facts and let us make up our own minds. But, it’s clear from the tonality and verbiage used that the media is designed to instill fear, because fear is the bait that keeps you coming back. And most media outlets are owned by just six corporations. Doesn’t seem like a lot of diversity of thought there does it?
I want answers, and whatever the truth may be I can handle it. But, where do I find it? And why does it seem that millionaires and billionaires are the ones who believe they are qualified to control and monitor my health? My life? I can understand the logic behind thinking that one who has accumulated significant wealth is intelligent, but incredible wealth does not equate to care, compassion or having the best interests of others at heart. Piles of money give you absolutely zero say in how I live my life. And it most certainly does not qualify anyone to control the lives of others.
There are scores of people who believe everything we are being told is a lie and that there is an evil “elite” who’s out to control everyone and everything. Why? Power and money. The outcome of this line of thinking is not good, and I can find no happy ending here because I’m not the kind of man who bows the knee to another human.
Of course, the pendulum swings the opposite direction too. There you’ll find scores of people who believe all of this is a rebirth, a way for the earth/universe/god to set things right and to correct our path. The outcome of this line of thinking is certainly more pleasing than the other, and believe me I hope it’s true.
Personally, I believe there’s some truth in both of these viewpoints. And maybe the viewpoint that will dominate, after all of this, is the one we allow. The one we perpetuate and feed through our actions.
